Welcome to POWERS — Promoting Opportunities for Women’s Equality in Refereeing Soccer

We’re excited to invite you to join POWERS, Connecticut’s official women’s soccer referee group. This initiative is open to all women referees, whether you’re in your first season or have decades of experience. Whether you’re looking to advance, find mentorship, or simply connect with others who share your passion, POWERS is here for you.

Our mission is to build a strong, supportive community of women officials—where you can:

  • Ask questions and share insights
  • Receive personalized coaching and mentorship
  • Discuss game situations in a judgment-free space
  • Attend monthly virtual meetups and local tournaments together

There’s no pressure to attend every meeting or event. We simply want to create a space where you feel welcome, supported, and empowered—whenever you choose to join us.

POWERS Events

All games will be at Albertus Magnus college at the dates and times shown. POWERS leaders, State Referee Committee representatives will be on site to answer questions and offer support. Mentors will be on site to share thoughts and insights with the referee crews.
