Due to the ongoing concerns with respect to the spread of COVID-19 in confined spaces, the Connecticut State Referee Program may elect to switch from in-person clinics to virtual clinics (an interactive session held optimally on your computer or tablet).

Entry Level Training is currently OPEN for registration.

Becoming a Referee is a multi-step process including self-paced online coursework at the US Soccer Learning Center and a group in-person (or virtual) session with a USSF instructor. If you have not already done so, while you are waiting for the training to begin, you can create your user profiles at ctreferee.net and learning.ussoccer.com

Referee Recertification

Recertification for the officiating year 2022 is currently OPEN

All Recertification work will be done online at your own pace at the US Soccer Learning Center (learning.ussoccer.com). Every Referee member of CSRP should already have a profile at the Learning Center, look now to be sure everything is correct. Please try signing in, use the password reminder feature if necessary, before creating a new account/profile.

Certification and Recertification Requirements

Below are the US Soccer documents on Certification and Recertification requirements that went in effect July 1, 2019.

Past Grade 8 and Grade 7 Referees will follow the Grass Roots reuirements and State Referees will follow the Regional Referee Requirements.

The Fitness Test is a mandatory component of Certification and Recertification for "Regional Referees" and optional for Grass Roots Referees and Emeritus Referees.
